What is the Chitram Score, and what it is not
The Chitram Score is a 0 to 100 readiness signal for a film project. Here is exactly how it is weighted, how to improve it, and why it never predicts returns.
Every project on Chitram carries a score from 0 to 100. It answers one question: how ready is this film to be taken seriously by a producer, a partner or an investor?
How it is weighted
- Story readiness: 15
- Screenplay readiness: 15
- Creator credibility and completeness: 10
- Team attachments: 15
- Audience engagement: 15
- Funding readiness: 10
- Budget readiness: 10
- Pitch quality and completeness: 5
- Market positioning completeness: 5
Creators see the full breakdown on their dashboard. The public sees the overall number and a readiness label: Early Development, Building, Pitch Ready or High Readiness.
How to move it
The fastest gains are usually the cheapest: a real logline, a synopsis with the ending, a director attached, a budget range, a pitch deck in the deal room. Audience engagement grows when the project is shared and people answer "Would you watch this film?".
What it is not
The score measures readiness, not outcomes. It does not predict box office, awards or the return on any investment, and Chitram never presents it that way. A high score means the material and the plan are complete enough to have a serious conversation. The conversation itself happens between people.
