Chitram exists to help cinema move forward.

Users must treat creators, professionals and film lovers with respect.

Be Authentic

Do not impersonate:

• actors;
• producers;
• studios;
• investors;
• filmmakers;
• companies; or
• other users.

Do not invent film credits or attachments.

Protect Creative Work

Do not upload scripts, artwork, footage, music or confidential material that you do not have permission to use.

Do not solicit another person's private screenplay and then republish it.

No Fraud

Do not:

• fabricate budgets;
• create fake investment commitments;
• claim false funding;
• guarantee film returns;
• run fraudulent casting calls;
• sell fake producer access;
• request suspicious payments; or
• manipulate metrics.

No Unlawful Investment Solicitation

Do not publicly offer securities, profit shares, equity, debt or investment contracts through Chitram in violation of applicable law.

Do not advertise "guaranteed returns", "fixed profit" or similar claims.

Respect Confidentiality

If you receive private project materials, use them only for the purpose for which access was granted.

Do not download, copy, distribute or disclose confidential content without authority.

No Harassment

Threats, stalking, bullying, sexual harassment and targeted abuse are prohibited.

No Hate or Unlawful Discrimination

Content promoting unlawful hatred or discrimination is prohibited.

Sexual and Exploitative Content

Non-consensual intimate content is strictly prohibited.

Child sexual abuse or exploitative content is prohibited and may be reported to authorities.

Synthetic and AI Content

AI can support filmmaking.

It cannot be used on Chitram to:

• unlawfully impersonate a real person;
• create deceptive deepfakes;
• fabricate an actor's participation;
• create non-consensual sexual imagery;
• misrepresent real events;
• infringe protected performances; or
• commit fraud.

Chitram may require disclosure or labelling of synthetic content.

No Spam

Do not mass-message creators, investors or actors.

Do not scrape contact information or use automated outreach without permission.

Safe Opportunities

Opportunities must be genuine.

Do not request sexual favours, undisclosed payments or inappropriate personal information as a condition of casting or employment.

Enforcement

Violations may result in:

• warning;
• content restriction;
• content removal;
• opportunity closure;
• reduced distribution;
• account suspension;
• permanent termination;
• preservation of evidence;
• reporting to authorities where required.
