Script and Story Complaints

For screenplay or story disputes, useful supporting materials may include:

  • copyright-registration details;
  • SWA or other recognised registration records;
  • dated drafts;
  • contractual rights;
  • assignment agreements;
  • chain-of-title documents;
  • prior publication evidence;
  • Chitram upload history; and
  • other reliable authorship evidence.

Chitram does not act as a court and may be unable to adjudicate complex ownership disputes.

Where ownership is genuinely disputed, Chitram may restrict access temporarily and require the parties to resolve the matter through appropriate legal channels.

Response Process

Chitram may:

  • acknowledge receipt;
  • request additional information;
  • temporarily restrict disputed content;
  • contact the uploader;
  • request proof of rights;
  • restore content where appropriate;
  • permanently remove content;
  • suspend repeat infringers; or
  • comply with lawful orders.

Counter-Notice

A user whose content is restricted may provide:

  • identity;
  • explanation of rights;
  • supporting documents;
  • consent to relevant legal process where appropriate; and
  • a statement that removal was caused by error or misidentification.

Submitting knowingly false claims may expose the complainant to legal consequences and Platform enforcement.

  • private-area exposure;
  • sexual imagery;
  • impersonation;
  • unlawfully morphed images; or
