Casting calls on Chitram: how they work for actors and for films
Every opportunity on Chitram belongs to a project you can read. Here is how actors apply, how creators run the pipeline, and what a good application looks like.
A casting call on Chitram is never a bare job listing. It is a film looking for a person: "JANNAT is looking for a lead actress." The project page, the logline, the stage of the film and the team are one click away, so an actor knows what they are applying to.
For actors and crew
- Build a profile that shows work: headline, city, languages, credits, a showreel link.
- Open the opportunity and read the project first.
- Apply with a short note on why you, and a link to your reel.
- Track the status on your dashboard: applied, viewed, shortlisted, meeting, selected.
For creators
Publish a role from your project dashboard with the languages, location, compensation type and deadline. Applications land in one pipeline. Move each one through the stages; applicants are notified as their status changes. Roles you have opened also show as OPEN on the Team tab of your project.
What a good application says
Three sentences beat three paragraphs: what you have done that is relevant, why this role, and where the reel is. Be specific about language and location. If the brief asks for Telugu and Urdu, say which you can read.
